The JRS-34-P Passive Ribbon Microphone, named in memory of Jon R. Sank (1934-1998), was designed by his son,
Stephen Sank. Steve's father, Jon R. Sank, was Harry Olson’s successor at RCA’s* microphone division from the late 50’s through the early 70’s. Jon was instrumental in the design and production of RCA’s BK-11 and other world-class ribbon microphones. When RCA closed its microphone division in 1974, Jon left with a lifetime of tools and knowledge which he passed on to his son, Steve.
Today, Steve and his wife Cynthia continue the family tradition of developing quality hand crafted ribbon microphones. It comes in a beautiful handcrafted wooden box. MSRP: $1499 |
